Started working on observing with my science students today...saw some good stuff, but will need to work on duration...good thing we have until April :) Looking forward to trying out some of the debriefing activities, too. Talked a little about BZL and now the kids are sooooo excited.
Drawing specific views from picture books, written and sketched observations of the school yard during various weather conditions, even asking students to draw their own hands and feet or observing themselves in a mirror provides wonderful practice and allows for some great reflection and discussion as well.
